Star Phones Online Returns and Warranty Policy
At Star Phones, we are committed to complying with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Below is our comprehensive policy for returns, refunds, and warranty claims for products purchased through our website.
Manufacturer’s Warranty
- All products come with a 3-month manufacturer’s warranty unless a longer warranty is specified at the time of purchase.
- Warranty claims may require inspection by the supplier or manufacturer, which could take up to 30 days.
Exclusions from Warranty Coverage
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Misuse, abuse, or negligence.
- Accidental or deliberate damage.
- Failure to follow manufacturer instructions.
- Consequential or incidental damages.
- Incorrect product choice.
Exclusions from Warranty Coverage
- Repairs are warranted only for the parts and labour listed on the receipt.
- The warranty is void under the following conditions:
- Physical damage to the item (accidental or otherwise).
- Liquid damage (before or after repair).
- Repairs or attempted repairs by third parties, including the customer.
Electronic Devices (Excluding Mobile Phones)
Examples: chargers, cables, selfie sticks, tripods, wireless chargers, headphones, Bluetooth devices, etc.
- Within 7 Days of Purchase: If a product is found faulty and returned in its original packaging and condition, you may choose one of the following:
- A full refund.
- A replacement product valued at up to 1.5 times the purchase price.
- A credit note valued at 1.5 times the purchase price.
- After 7 Days: If a fault is identified, you may choose either:
- A replacement product.
- A credit notes equivalent to the purchase price.
Mobile Phones (New, Refurbished, or Second-hand)
- If a phone is faulty, it will be repaired or replaced under warranty.
- Refunds are only provided if we cannot fix the problem or provide a replacement within a reasonable time (2–4 weeks).
Service, Labour, and Booking Fees
- Service, labour, and booking fees (ranging from $59 to $259) are non-refundable in the following cases:
- Change of mind.
- Incorrect service selection.
- Devices with pre-existing issues or water damage.
- Fees are only refundable if we are unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable time (2–4 weeks) and the fault lies with us.
Refunds and Returns
- Refund requests must be submitted via email to resolve@starphones.com.au.
Shipping Charges
- Shipping fees for returns will apply but will be reimbursed as a credit on customer account only if the product is being returned due to a fault.
